304L stainless steelhas a high resistance to corrosion and lends itself to many types offabrication, making it one of the most widely used forms of stainlesssteel used today. 304 & 304L plate and pipes have similar propertiesand in certain cases are stocked with Dual Certification, where it isconcluded that each item has properties and a composition which complywith both steel types. Grade 304H cannot be included in this equationdue to the steel's higher carbon content which is intended for use inelevated temperature applications.
